KUALA LUMPUR: KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 — Electric Train Services (ETS) have resumed after a power outage between Tiroi and Seremban Stations, but delays persist for eight services on the KL Sentral–JB Sentral–KL Sentral route. This disruption is due to ongoing efforts to stabilize the operational schedule, affecting several trains with delays ranging from 25 minutes to over three hours. The power outage was caused by a failure in the overhead line equipment, which has since been repaired. Despite the resolution, KTMB is working to manage the disruptions caused by these delays, ensuring passengers are informed and assisted.
Passengers experiencing delays of over two hours have the option to receive a full fare refund. "As a caring measure and to reduce the inconvenience experienced by passengers, KTMB is also providing food and light refreshments to affected passengers for train services that are delayed by more than two hours as a token of appreciation for their patience and cooperation throughout the disruption," Seremban Station said. The persistent delays highlight the importance of infrastructure reliability and communication in public transportation. KTMB is closely monitoring the situation and aims to restore the full operational schedule promptly, with auxiliary police and staff assisting affected passengers.
