**Unemployed Man Denies Attempted Murder of Wife** *Ipoh* – An unemployed man pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to charges of attempting to murder his wife in an incident that took place last week at Taman Changkat Lada Raya, Kampung Gajah. The accused, 42-year-old Mohd. Yusof Mat Yatim, entered his plea after the charges were read to him by the court interpreter in front of Judge Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi. According to the charge sheet, the accused allegedly committed the act by suffocating his wife, Nur Syazwana Mohd.
Talaha, 38, with a pillow, an action he knew could potentially result in her death. The incident reportedly occurred at a house in Taman Changkat Lada Raya, Seberang Perak in Kampung Gajah, within the Perak Tengah district, at 9 a. m. on March 25, 2026.
Earlier, prosecuting officer Inspector Zahira Musa requested that the court deny bail for the father of three, citing his aggressive behavior during the investigation. " The accused acted aggressively throughout the investigation and even attempted to jump from the fourth floor, " she stated. Judge Meor Sulaiman has set May 4 as the date for the next mention of the case, allowing the accused time to appoint legal representation.
