**Annas Sulaiman Appointed as New Wangsa Maju District Police Chief** KUALA LUMPUR – Assistant Commissioner Annas Sulaiman has officially taken on the role of the new District Police Chief for Wangsa Maju, effective today. Previously serving as the Director of Integrated Operations at the National Financial Crime Prevention Centre (NFCC), Annas steps into the position following the tenure of Senior Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Lazim Ismail. Mohamad Lazim has now transitioned to a new role as the Deputy Director of Strategic Planning within the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) at Bukit Aman. The ceremonial handover took place at the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters, witnessed by the Chief of Kuala Lumpur Police, Datuk Fadil Marsus.
The event featured the formal signing and exchange of documents between the outgoing and incoming officers. In his speech, Datuk Fadil expressed gratitude towards Mohamad Lazim for his contributions and dedication while leading the Wangsa Maju District Police Headquarters. He highlighted that during Mohamad Lazim’ s nearly two-year service, various initiatives and strategies were implemented to enhance community safety and well-being. ” Numerous achievements have been realized, particularly in areas of operations, arrests, and crime prevention, reflecting his leadership integrity and high commitment, ” Fadil remarked.
He further mentioned that Mohamad Lazim’ s appointment to the new position at Bukit Aman aligns well with his experience and expertise, especially in the realm of cybercrime. Fadil also touched on the responsibilities that come with being a District Police Chief, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the safety and security of the community.
